It has already been 5 days since the new season started, and so far, I am doing pretty well in my ranked battles, and I also have yet to skip any brawls and tournaments that I entered this season so far. I even made it to the second round for some of the tournaments, which enables me to increase my SPS earnings. I was hoping that I could continue this throughout the season.
Anyway, I had an awesome grind earlier today, despite crossing paths with accounts with better cards than me. Not sure how long I can keep the win streak, but I want to examine how these battles concluded as a reference for my future battles.
At the moment, I am currently ranked 31st on the Champion leaderboard with a rating of 4,220 and a 57.89% win rate, having won 77 out of 133 ranked battles. Personally, I do not think that I could hold the leaderboard rank for long, and neither will I be able to keep my win rate above 57%. It's just a matter of time before I get overwhelmed by players with a much better deck than me.
Still, getting a 13-win streak today is pretty awesome, especially when I have not reached 2-digits win streak for a while.
Looking at the last 13 matches that I had, 6 of them were matches against human players, while the other 7 were against the bots, so at the very least, the bots-versus-human ratio was not that bad. Maybe if I play more, I could face more humans next.
Among those 6 human matches, I faced against chiboulette2, who was scholared by mario008 twice, and as you can see, he keeps on spamming Dragonlord Mancer, but because they keep spamming the same lineup, it makes it easier to counter them, and although I also use a similar lineup, it was not because I was spamming it, but because I think that it was the best team in my arsenal that I could use during that time. Anyway, don't you think it's embarrassing to be a scholar and be this low in rating?
Meanwhile, among the human battles that I had, the most difficult match that I had was against bravetofu. Heloise alone was enough to take down my entire team, but thankfully, brave did not include a unit with Invigorate, so his team got Weary pretty early and was unable to attack even though they far outnumbered my remaining cards
On the other hand, the most difficult battle that I had against the bot was when I was fighting the roldem bot cause it plays the exact same team as mine. The only difference was the tactics and where the bot placed it. Had it used the same tactics and placed it on the same unit, it would be guaranteed to win against me since my Silverblade Fighter was underleveled.
However, it seems that there were times when the liquidity bot was drunk, because all of a sudden, it would use a lineup that was entirely composed of level 1 units, when we are supposed to be playing max-level accounts in the Champion League. I thought that it was finally resolved after the seasons of bot testing in survival, but seeing that these lineup was still played by the liquidity bots at modern means that we still need more seasons before we can bring Brackets to modern. Playing against these lineups is basically the bots throwing their match.
And that was my analysis for the past 13 battles that I won consecutively. Had I continued playing today, the streak could continue to increase, or it could stop right away, but I have already completed the required battles to get all my fortune entries for the day, so whether I like it or not, I have to pause playing for the next day.
