Last Monday the Spanish cycling tour La Vuelta, ended in Castelo Branco, the big city next to the village where our farm is. I decided to go and see the event, the TV recording got me rhere when shooting.
Today as temperature has started to slowly cool down, I decided to get on my old Spezialized rigid bike and tour arround.
I ended up doing a mix offroad and road tour, leaving the farm at 8:00am and coming back three hours later. I did cycle over Alcains, the last vilage on last Monday La Vuelta stage.
Then I headed to Castelo Branco, taking a secondary road to pass next to an old churxh.
After reaching the city I forked towads the farm without getting into town. The heat was starting to be strong and I did not want to suffer too much.
I ended up doing 35Kms and discovering new spots as a bird watching tour I will try in the spring.
All in all, a nice tour after so many weeks out off the bicycle.
