Today I want to share with you my first work in this amazing community. It has been a lot of fun to work on this illustration as I had been some time without drawing people since I have been more focused on structures and exteriors. Here I bring you this explorer witch with her little naughty friends. I hope you like the process and final finish.

En d铆a de hoy les quiero compartir mi primer trabajo en esta incre铆ble comunidad. Ha sido muy divertido trabajar en esta ilustraci贸n ya que llevaba alg煤n tiempo sin dibujar personas ya que he estado mas centrada en las estructuras y exteriores. Ac谩 les traigo a esta bruja exploradora junto a sus peque帽os amigos traviesos. Espero les gusto mucho el proceso y acabado final.
The first thing I will do is the sketch. At first I was thinking of making a single witch with a very old lantern, but it seemed a bit empty, so I added some friends. I will be using the Pencil 6B which I like a lot as it is very similar to the pencil we usually use in physics.
Lo primero que hare ser谩 el boceto. Al principio pensaba en hacer una bruja sola con una linterna muy antigua, pero me pareci贸 que quedaba un poco vac铆a, as铆 que le agregue algunos amigos. Estar茅 utilizando el Pincel 6B el cual me gusta mucho ya que se asemeja bastante al l谩piz que solemos usar en f铆sico.
Once I had the sketch ready with everything I wanted, I moved on to the final outlining part, which I will also be doing with the 6B pencil.
Una vez tuve listo el boceto con todo lo que quer铆a, pase a la parte del delineado final que tambi茅n lo estar茅 haciendo con el L谩piz 6B.
After I have all this ready, I will start with the painting which is my favorite part. For this illustration I took quite warm and medieval colors as I always use. I will be sharing with you the color palette I used.
Despu茅s de tener todo esto listo, empezar茅 con el pintado que es mi parte favorita. Para esta ilustraci贸n tome colores bastante c谩lidos y medievales como suelo usar siempre. Les estar茅 compartiendo la paleta de colores que use.
First I will be placing the flat colors in each of the indicated parts.
Primero estar茅 colocando los colores planos en cada una de las partes indicadas.
The next step is one of the most important, and here everything depends on the brushes and texture, this will give the final touch to all our illustration. I personally love the textures in the drawings, so it has become one of the most important steps in the final finish. I will start with the 6B Compressed brush for the details of the face.
El siguiente paso es uno de los mas importantes, ya aqu铆 todo depende de los pinceles y textura, esto le dar谩 el toque final a toda nuestra ilustraci贸n. A m铆 en lo personal me encantan las texturas en los dibujos, as铆 que se ha convertido en uno de los pasos super primordiales en el acabado final. Comenzar茅 con el pincel 6B Comprimido para los detalles del rostro.
Now I will be using the Watercolor Brush 1 for the details of the clothes and animals. I have also changed some colors that did not convince me.
Ahora estar茅 utilizando el Pincel Acuarela 1 para los detalles de la ropa y animales. Tambi茅n he cambiado algunos colores que no me terminaban de convencer.
After finishing with the basic textures and finishes I will start with the background. For this I thought of a somewhat worn wall with little lighting as the environment was a super dark room. I also started with the flat colors and with the brushes mentioned above with them I was adding texture.
Al terminar con las texturas y acabados b谩sicos empezar茅 con el fondo. Para ello pens茅 en una pared algo desgastada con poca iluminaci贸n ya que el ambiente era una habitaci贸n super oscura. Empec茅 tambi茅n con los colores planos y con los pinceles mencionados anteriormente, con ellos fui a帽adi茅ndole textura.
The next step to carry out is the candle and its illumination on the character and surroundings. for this I marked small arrows as guides, which helped me a lot to know how to locate each glow. I was using yellow and orange colors, along with the Pincel 6B Compressed.
El siguiente paso a llevar a cabo es la vela y su iluminaci贸n sobre el personaje y entorno. Para ello marque peque帽as flechas como gu铆as, el cual me ayudo mucho a saber ubicar cada resplandor. Estuve utilizando colores amarillos y naranjas, junto con el Pincel 6B Comprimido
As you could notice in the second image I set the layer mode to overlay, you can see how the colors integrate much better in the drawing. Finally I will be changing the background colors to a more complementary one and I will be retouching colors and making even more details.
Como pudieron notar en la segunda imagen coloqu茅 el modo de capa a superposici贸n, puedes ver como los colores se integran mucho mejor en el dibujo. Por 煤ltimo estar茅 cambiando los colores del fondo a uno m谩s complementario e ir茅 retocando colores y haciendo aun m谩s detalles.
