Hello dear friends of Hive and Sketchbook!!

Today I want to share with you a project I have been working on for a long time. It is a character design, which will reflect various poses, expressions and costumes that will occupy in the course of his life in the story.
It really took me a lot of research and analysis to do this project. To create a character and reflect the personality of a character at a glance requires work and time.
I had a lot of fun doing this project, I hope you can also enjoy this post and the step by step I implemented to make it!

En el día de hoy les quiero compartir un proyecto en el cual llevo trabajando mucho tiempo. Se trata de un diseño de personajes, el cual se verán reflejadas varias poses, expresiones y vestuario que ocupará en el transcurso de su vida en el cuento.
Realmente hacer este proyecto me llevo a mucha búsqueda y análisis. Ya que para crear un personaje y reflejarle la personalidad a simple vista de un personaje requiere trabajo y tiempo.
Me divertí mucho haciendo este proyecto, espero puedan disfrutar ustedes también de este post y el paso a paso que implemente para realizarla!

The first thing I will do will be the sketches.
I've been using a sheet of paper and a pencil, I love to do the sketches in traditional technique first and then transfer it to digital.

Lo primero que haré serán los bocetos.
Estuve usando una hoja y un lapiz, me encanta hacer los bocetos en técnica tradicional primero y luego pasarlo a digital.

After I have all my sketches done, I will take photos and go digital.
I will be retouching each sketch with the lapiz 6B, with this I will be doing it in the program and I will be retouching some details.

Después de tener todos mis bocetos hechos, tomaré fotos y pasaré a digital.
Estaré retocando cada boceto con el lapiz 6B, con esto lo realizaré en el programa y estaré retocando algunos detalles.

Once all the outlining is finished and some defects are corrected, I will start with the painting. As always I will be starting by applying flat colors.
Then I was applying several coats of different color and testing which palette they looked better✨.

Al terminar todos el delineado y corregido algunos defectos, comenzaré con el pintado. Como siempre estaré empezando aplicando colores planos.
Después estuve aplicando varias capas de color diferente y probando que paleta les quedaban mejor✨

By choosing the right colors I will start with the part that will define the whole drawing. In this I always use the ***Watercolor Brush *** and the crayon brush. Already from this stage it is pure details with these brushes that I will be using.

Al elegir los colores adecuados comenzaré con la parte que definirá todo el dibujo. En esto siempre uso el Pincel de Acuarela y el de crayón. Ya a partir de esta etapa son puros detalles con estos pinceles que estaré utilizando.

I have been working with these brushes for a long time now and I never regret it. I love the texture they leave, I feel that the drawing comes to life and texture.
When working with the details of the objects in this character, I could really appreciate that traditional finish that they always leave. The clothing also looked great.

Ya llevo trabajando con estos pinceles mucho tiempo y nunca me arrepiento. Amo la textura que dejan, siento que el dibujo cobra más vida y textura.
Al trabajar con los detalles de los objetos en este personaje, pude apreciar realmente ese acabado tan tradicional que suelen dejar siempre. Las vestimentas también quedaban muy bien.

After I had almost all the details finished I started to add small details of the lighting. Details like effects on the objects and faces, I felt that they gave that touch of magic that was missing. For this I implemented the overlay effect technique on the layer in yellowish tones.

Después de tener casi todos los detalles terminados empecé a agregar pequeños detalles de la iluminación. Detalles como efectos en los objetos y rostros, sentí que le dieron ese toque de magia que les faltaba. Para ello implemente la técnica de efecto de superposición en la capa en tonos amarillentos.

Almost finished with the characters, I decided to add one more pose and new clothes. In this one what I liked the most and one of the things that stands out the most ... is the brown briefcase. This briefcase belonged to her father who gave it to her when he passed away.

Ya casi terminando con los personajes, decidí agregar una pose más y vestimenta nueva. En esta lo que más me gusto y una de las cosas que más resalta … es el maletín café. Este maletín pertenecía a su padre el cual se lo obsequió a ella al fallecer.

And that's it guys! This was the whole process of making this great illustration. It took me a long time to finish it, because it was not only a drawing where you could see a character, this time it was 4 characters in one work. For me it was like having made 4 illustrations😂.

Y listo chicos! Este fue todo el proceso al realizar esta gran ilustración. Me tomo mucho tiempo finalizarla, ya que no solo se trataba de un dibujo en donde se podía observar un personaje, en esta ocasión se trataban de 4 personajes en una sola obra. Para mi fue como haber realizado 4 ilustraciones😂.
