Real life comedy
This is probably my most funny experience of online shopping. In search of a 35 mm Over The Ear Headphone Cushion, I landed at one product in Flipkart. Now if you ask me why its so scare, then I can tell its because Sony stopped producing the over the ear headphone that I have. But I still love it - yes, the Sony MDR-Q22 that I still have works fine. It's just that it lost its beauty because the cockroach ate the cushion. There were some spare caps which I put and all it needs is the cushion.
I remember buying three of them and gifting couple of them to my relatives - yes I did love this one so much that I wanted people around me also use that. In search of a similar headphone, I could not find anything other than Panasonic RP-HZ47 available in India. So I went and ordered one and it came after two months. I was curious to get it and since it did not come as promised I reached to Amazon and they advised to ask for a refund or contact the seller. When I contacted the seller he told me that, its coming from Japan and was stuck in customs 😕, Really !! Finally it came, not bad given that there are no other choice, but it did not meet my expectation.
I used this for some time but still the MDR-Q22 was coming in my dreams. So I thought to try one more time to give a retrofit to my Sony MDR-Q22 and got some cushions from local market, but they were like XXL shirt put on a thin guy. They did not cost a lot but the petrol cost was not less. So I thought, I would do some research and order the exact size from online. Interestingly I learned how to measure the size , and it appears Crysendo is the leading brand providing cushions in all olnine platforms ( Ya, olnine, someone told me that😀) and Crysendo does show you some pictures on how to measure the size. I never tried to measure anything like this.
Grabbing the small scale and protractor from the kids, I figured out its 35 mm that will make the MDR-Q22 handsome. But alas, searching olnine at several places for few hours, I found there was only one seller having only the last piece for me in Flipkart.And look at the price ₹799 and 72% off on it makes it ₹220 - it definitely is not a fair price for just 2 pieces, but given that only the last was available, I did not want to loose that last piece and ordered it. After that the item became Sold Out.
And see what they delivered.
Looking at it I could definitely make that I have been shipped a wrong product, but then I was curious to think, what kind of product is this. Moved it left and right and I think, its some kind of tap ? But look at the size - did they make it to pass Tritium that costs around $30,000 per gram ? But then why two taps !! After thinking about it for some time, I am have decided to place my refund but I will hold on for a day, if someone can tell me this actually is a precious gem that they shipped by mistake !!
Who knows my investment is lucky !! By the way I am going to share this post in Flipkart in the comment justifying the refund:)
