Everything looks cute in baby stage, isn't it ? The spring is about to end soon and our summer is quite harsh, with high temperatures (touching more than 45) and humidity, making it feel like a sauna outside, so most gardening activities are in pause. But the fun part of this season is that Nature offers us some nice fruits, that does not need every day care - not even watering these plants - they are self sustainable. I am exploring how to get these Jackfruit flour from our Koraput , if you are interested to get it, do let me know.
This year feels like a party for this plant - last year, it had only two Jackfruit, and look at this - feels like the plant wanted to show it's strength with a visible certificate :)
The interesting fact about these Jackfruit plants is that, nothing happens to them in thunder storms, that come quite often during these times.
Like last year, I will have to call our football team member to get the ones in the top - they are almost invisible. This one is the ripen variety but we do have a curry variety as well, which is not behind as well in the competition.

We have abundance of this biggest fruit given by Nature but unfortunately, many don't realize. I am teaching these key values of life to my kids, at times I feel, possibly these are the biggest gifts that we can give to our kids - to know what to eat and how nature has given all the healers to us.
Before wrapping up on Jackfruit , I must share the above photo - it will be amazing to watch how this branch will hold that Jackfruit as it grows - nature is fascinating.
And now let's move on to the most lovable fruit - Mangoes...
Unlike last year, we have got the most in this one tree - there are very few in other plants, but we are not disappointed - this is the most sweet mango that we are privileged to have - nothing from the market even can match with this.
And monkeys have discovered that as well - to stop them, Mom has put these thorn barriers collected from the apple berry plant. They are pretty fearless now a days.
And we have got some litchi this year, but we know, they won't be spared by birds. Putting net would possibly prevent that, I will see, if I can do that before I go back.
The tree is not a big one, but putting the net on top is not a single man's affair, so will have to ask Mom to help in.
