Good morning! Today I've chosen to share my mode of transportation over these past few months. Just a heads up I'm not paid by this company to review or promote, we just discovered it on our own and I'm sharing my opinion. We ended up getting a couple of Backfire skateboards back in the spring (electric skateboards) and I am loving it!
I have been using the board to get to and from work, and it makes the commute a blast. I actually rode it downtown last night for dinner out with the girls. FYI-carving UP a hill is something else! We ended up taking the insurance off of the car for now as there was no need to run a second vehicle. Also Feeling good about going a little more green-just a little anyways (the second vehicle we drive is a Prius). The board takes about 3 hours to charge, and lasts about a 20 km ride. It does have regenerative braking so that helps too.
The price point is quite reasonable in comparison to other electric boards on the market, making it a great bang for the buck. The money that we've saved on gas, insurance, and parking fees, has already covered the cost of the board. This board is a ton of fun and definitely worth the money. One other thing to mention is that if the battery does run out on you, it's an easy push, so you can still actually ride it like a skateboard/longboard. We have a few friends who have also bought this board recently. Anyways thought I'd share how I've been skating through summer. The journey really has been half the fun.
Cheers!
