Alex wanted to enter a catrín contest, so he came to us and asked Karen to do his makeup. It really turned out great, so I took the opportunity to take some portraits of him. Everything was a bit rushed because we had to finish in time for him to enter the contest. In the end, it wasn’t the result we’d hoped for, but third place wasn’t bad. I didn’t get to see the other contestants to know if the result was fair, but that’s not what matters most. We all enjoyed being a part of it.
