Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and
@monochromes.
There are moments when we feel truly connected to the outside world. They donāt happen as often as weād like, but there are some momentsāalbeit a little less frequent than weād likeāwhen we are completely immersed in the world.
We feel not just a connection, but an almost mystical bond.
These moments happen more often when we donāt let the noise around usāand within usāclutter our thoughts or undermine our concentration.
On one of the many occasions when I went for a walk in a park, it was still early, and on that particular day, there werenāt many people on the street. Not because the weather was particularly unpleasantānothing of the sort. The clouds danced high above our heads, yet without the slightest disregard for those walking below.
Circles and arcs were the shapes I imagined most often, because Iālike so many othersāhad no plan for the next few minutes. Wandering outdoors, walking with a general direction but without a rigid path, makes us more open to changes, to small adjustments to the plan. It keeps us from being so set in our ways and inflexible when, for some reason, we have to adapt to what we might have at the moment, what we might visit, or what we might not yet see.
This morning, the garden was all mine. I didnāt see a single soul from the moment I passed through the entrance gates until I passed through them again on my way out.
A true peace of mind and spirit.
