Women in India are considered to be fragile and emotional. Weddings are the place where one can get to see loads of tears. Bride, her parents and relatives squeeze their eyes to get those tears which gives the exact emitions for beautiful wedding clicks.
I remember, during my wedding, after the ceremony, when we were leaving for my new home bidding good bye to my parents, my mother had tears in her eyes. Well, unfortunately I didn't. I was probably very comfortable with my husband and didn't think that my wedding would break the bond that I share with my maternal home. My eyes were not moist and I gave my mom a assuring smile that I would be fine when she had dropped few of those precious pears off her eyes.
The 8 hour long drive was hectic as I have this travelling sickness. I puked a few times before I could sprinkle some cold water on my face. Once I was at my new home I realised what my new found relatives thought about me. I could hear them murmuring that I am a heartless person with zero emotions. They were shocked to see a girl not cry at her own wedding. They all labelled me as emotionless.
Well, I was hurt when I could hear them judge me on the first day at my new home, but I didn't shed a tear on that too. Probably they were right, I am heartless, or may be brainless. I wish I could use the tears I have to my benefits. Sadly, I ruined many opportunities that could turn the tables in my favour much like my mother in law does.
