It would be right yo say that I am a little obsessed with oral hygiene. It would not be wrong to say that my obsession is directly related to my jumpy heart that beats faster when I sight a dentist. I hate the idea of someone working inside my mouth with the help of a mirror. I make sure that I keep my pearly whites clean and healthy. I brush, floss and flush my teeth whenever required, but there are times when I just cannot avoid to visit those monsters clad in white coats.

I am so scared of them that I make sure my kids also stay away from them. I am so particular that I still brush my 10 year old to ensure that his teeth are away from the dentist's touch. So, when I saw a spot on his teeth few days back, I freaked out. I thought it is cavity and I didn't wait to brush his teeth and floss it to certify my doubts. Thankfully, it was just a stain and got cleared after a good brushing session.
I was not always scared of dentist. Though my father is heavily obsessed with oral hygiene, I was quite different, until I had my tooth pulled out. The pain was unbearable even after the cream he applied to numb the gums. I even got a ice cream after the extraction, but I preferred maintaining the teeth over that huge cup of ice cream.
