Africans have unique cultural heritage which is a mixture of different beliefs and methods.

Different culture in Africa have different cooking methods, dance pattern, ceremonial pattern etc. All these patterns are different but very similar.

Nigerian Food

The most general food served dish in Nigerian ceremony is **EBA and SOUP,your ceremony is not complete until some people see good EBA or FUFU and SOUP

EBA:
Eba is one of the most consumed food in Nigeria. Some people can't just go a day without taking EBA. Eba and fufu are both gotten from cassava.
Nigerians don't joke with eba and egusi soup, or fufu and egusi soup. There are several other Nigerian soups but my best Nigerian soup is Afang.

But things are changing, now I see strange new food in Nigerian ceremonies, new ways of entertaining guests which is very different from the old traditional way and this new ways seems to be replacing the old African ways of entertaining guests.

One new culture I noticed recently was the introduction of skaters and bikers to entertain guests in burial and wedding ceremony in akwa ibom state.

I noticed this skaters and bikers attracted more attention from the villagers than the regular traditional dancers who were the top entertainers.

could this new interest replace the old methods?

Well, I think it's possible, but it will take some time. Currently lots of Nigerians that I know don't even respect or observe the traditional ways of doing things anymore.

This typical village of mkpatak in akwa ibom that I visited had youths who were big lovers of hip hop music and American movies instead of the typical Nigerian movie.

I have no issues with adapting to this new interests by the youths, but i think it's currently a threat to the rich culture of the people of mkpatak, akwa ibom state.

As long as these new interests for foreign movies, foreign songs and introduction of skaters and bikers makes the people happy, then it's OK by me.

**Please kindly share your opinion, do you think it's really a threat? **
