Karate is definitely not a sport or art form that comes without a lot of intense dedication and commitment, and some pain haha. The first form I practiced was in South Africa and it was called JKA Shotokan karate and it was non-contact. When I moved to the UK, I joined a school that practiced Kyokushin karate which is FULL CONTACT karate. Between that and Jiu Jitsu... I ended up with a number of bruised and fractured ribs !LOLZ But I love it so much. To me, Karate is about mindfulness, discipline, meditation, and joy. It is the pursuit of perfection; a constant honing of skill. It is camaraderie in action too. I used to teach the lower grade belts in South Africa. I'd love to hear all about your dancing... I am sure that is a post or series in the making 💗 !LUV !ALIVE !PIZZA
