The Asian martial art became famous here through the Bruce Lee films. I don't know how many young people he inspired to train as well, but it must have been countless.

Your admiration for the Sensai Sten reminds me a little of the conversations between master and disciple from the Buddhist traditions, where the master asks a question and expects an authentic answer. In this case, you have passed the test and answered spontaneously, without taking an overly philosophical approach, as one can well imagine the interviewee thinking he must now be particularly clever, giving the "right" answer.

Perhaps, I think, you enjoyed it so much because the attainment of the respective degrees is such an exhausting and demanding affair? It was certainly not easy to obtain the black belt, was it?
I imagine it hurt to land on the mat and endure pain.

I am full of appreciation and admiration towards all those who practice a martial art and know how to properly execute the elegant movements and powerful strikes. It has certainly helped to bring about a form of self-confidence in body and mind that also helps in other situations in life. I myself have never practised an intense sport, which I find a pity. I see some parallels with dancing. But that's another story :)

Thank you for this excursion into the beautiful world of martial arts.
