KOGI:WHERE I COME FROM...[PART ONE]

I am from Kogi state,the confluence state and the only Nigerian state that has all the natural resources in the country including crude oil.

Yet,we still squalor in abject Poverty.

I am from a state where the two major rivers in Nigeria met,yet drinkable water has remain a daily challenge.

I am from a state where one of the largest cement factory and steel company is planted,yet our people still leave in mud and thatch houses.

A state where coal is in abundant,yet we still have several untalled roads.

I am a from a state where 60% of our natives are farmers,yet we still suffer abject hunger and depend solemnly on repackaged rice.

A state with more than six recognized tertiary institutions,yet we have more illiterates than elites.

Am from a state where we have churches and Mosque at every corner,yet our junctions are still filled with rituals,and our news are always filled with our trespasses.

I am from a state where about 1700 of her indigenes are medical practitioners,yet our people still die for lack of health care.

Am from a state where about 107 of her indigenes are SAN,yet we suffer a constant abuse of the rule of law and equity.

I am from a state where most of the best politicians in the middle belt comes from,yet our politics has remain a shadow of it self.

Am from a state accessible from any part of Nigeria,yet our people still live an uncivilized life.

I am from a state where about 75% of our elites are making waves on the social media,yet we ave not been able to call the attention of the world to our frustrations.
