Greetings!
Jealousy is something that happens in the life of so many people and it's something that has been in existence for so long and one thing that I have noticed so far about it is that, it would not happen in isolation but in a relationship that has to do with two or more people. So, without two or more people, there's nothing to be called jealousy as it would never exist.
Having talked so much about jealousy and human relationships in the indiaunited weekly prompt, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt here before me which is all about, “Jealousy: Love or Insecurity?”
As for me and in my own opinion, the two, love and insecurity can be said to be the fruits of jealousy. Both stem out of jealousy and both cannot also be separated from jealousy. When talking about jealousy, we have the positive aspect of jealousy through which one would be admiring what someone else is doing. When the achievement of the other person doesn't come in the form of a threat to us but rather something we could appreciate God for in the life of the fellow and even covet for ourselves, that's a positive way of being jealous.
However, if we should feel threatened by someone else's achievements that means we are not being healthy about that person's achievements and what this would bring is an act of insecurity which to me is a negative way of being jealous.
So, both are the fruits of jealousy, however another thing that I want us to know is, if we fail to control are positive way of being jealous, it can as well turned out to becoming an act of insecurity where the person involved would turn out to be threatened with the love he or she has for the fellow he or she claimed to have loved and by this, the person would be over protective and by so doing cause the person he claimed to love serious damage.
In conclusion, jealousy is a serious matter which should be done with serious caution and whenever we humans see that we are too over protective or not happy with the achievements of others, we should try and bring ourselves to normalcy.
