Greetings!
One thing about we members of the church of God and the Christian family is that we have the financial obligation to help others.
In the church of the bible, there's no one who died of hunger and as Bro. Eli has about his international church, no one has ever died of hunger or sicknesses as they have considered it an obligation to help others financially.
Bro. Eli in this particular teaching made us understand that we as believers must be of help to others as we are the hand of God towards others.
We were made to know in the book of Psalms 37:21 that “the wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.”
What the above scriptural verse is telling us is that, it's the wicked alone that borrowed without paying back and as christians, we should not be like the wicked that borrows without paying back, but even give to the poor.
The book of Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. This portion of the bible buttresses the fact that we should not be a debtor but a giver.
In conclusion, Bro. Eli told us that there's no sin in borrowing, but that not paying back is against the law. Also, he admonished us to be of help to others that are in need as that's our financial obligations to others as Christians, which means by doing so, we stretch the hand of God to others, most especially those that are in need.
