Greetings!
Doing things for money or to earn a living is not something that is bad and not only that, it's something that been in existence for ages, I can even say that, it's right from when we are born that hustling to make money was born with us and since everyone of us wants to be great in life, hustling is already part of us.
Having said so much about hustling and the act of making money, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt in the Hive student connect community which is all about, “What have you done for money?”
This question poised to me in this prompt is not just an ordinary question, it's a question that demands an accurate answer, this is because, if I should look at things that I have done just for money in life, those things would be countless, but the reason I said the question is not an ordinary one is that, there's this particular hustle of mine that I cannot forget so fast and that's the piggery hustle.
Although, at the time of my venture into the business, I had something that I was doing as a job. Then, I have been employed as a teacher in a government school but because of the little amount being paid to me as a teacher, I decided to venture into what I had no knowledge of.
A teacher friend was the one that introduced me to the business and since I believed we are facing the same challenges, I decided to give it try and because of this, I gathered all I have and even borrowed from people just to partner with a friend who had experience of the business already.
At first, when we started, everything was going well, but at some point, the other person started doing somehow and the peak of it came when I was not feeling fine and was unable to visit the farm, after 3 weeks of my absence, I returned to the farm and on getting there, there was nothing left on the farm and when I tried calling this friend of mine, I was told that his number was not reachable, I also tried to trace him to his residence, but could not be found and after every of my effort went futile, I resigned to my fate and faced my teaching job squarely. It's after several years that the guy called and apologized to me. He told me that he used the money he got from the sales of our joint investment to travel abroad and that he's sorry for not letting me know.
He said he would make it up to me, but even till now, I have not seen nor received anything from him and that's how my side hustle ended some years back.
