It does not matter where you are now, it does not determine where you are going to; you can still make it great, but only if you will not stop trying. In fact, you do not have any excuse to stop trying or not to try. There are lots of people that have been in worse levels than you think you are at the moment, but they never gave up, they kept trying and they finally hit their breakthroughs. You only start failing when you stop trying. As long as you keep trying, then breakthroughs are possible. More often than not, things that are worthwhile are only delivered by paying the required price - which one of them is consistency.

The world is not as fair enough to deliver to you what you deserve but only what you have demanded through your actions and determination. I once read about the biography of Barack Obama, who is regarded as the first Black American President. While growing up, at the age of 2 or so, his father left his mother and life became tough for them. He struggled his way through and went to school. Determination saw him through; he attended college and a lot of unwholesome things happened, yet he did not give up on his hopes and aspirations.
Through helps from various corners, he was able to graduate and start work. It was after this that he chose his political career, having served as a US Senator, and then rose to the top to become a two-term US president. At the end of the biography, a statement was quoted from him which made so much sense to me and revalidated the need to constantly keep trying. He said and I paraphrase; "you do not have any excuse to give for not trying." When you have a dream to achieve, you have to understand that it will never be easy and of course, challenges will be present, but you should not give up.
It does not matter how many times you have tried and failed, it does not mean that you will not achieve your dream, neither does it mean that you are a failure. If you try and do not achieve the desired result, you should not make exemptions for it nor give excuses for it. Trust me, excuses do not create a solution for a problem, rather it complicates everything and magnifies the challenge. To find the solution, you have to understand why the problem came in the first place. That it, know the reason why you tried and failed. This will help you to take appropriate lessons and corrections and then apply them to your next trial. As long as there is something to learn from a failed attempt, then it is not totally useless.

If you take a survey of the people that have achieved greatness in life, you will understand that many of them have some very rough journey. Some of them failed more times than you can possibly imagine but they did not lose sight of their dreams, rather they were motivated by it. If you fall and quickly get up, no one will know you fell. But if you fall and remain in your fallen state, everyone will know that you fell. It is worthy to note that you are not a failure because you failed once or even a couple of times, but because you stopped trying. You are never a failure if you keep trying.
I remember a time I tried doing a particular thing but the more I tried, the more the result was not as expected. As I was about to give up, a friend of mine told me that I was actually at the verge of getting it done. Truly, as soon as I tried again, I hit the mark and achieved it. Imagine if I had given up at the edge of the breakthrough, I would not have achieved it. A lot of times, when the challenges seem seem too tough may just be moments away from your desired breakthrough, so do not stop trying, and do not give up. It may just be the next trial that will make all the difference, but you will not know if you do not try again.
