A friend of mine that was about to do his traditional wedding gave out his materials to his tailor to sew for him. A particular date was agreed that he should come back and collect the cloth, which is 2 days to the day of the event. To his surprise, when he got to his tailor's place, he was still at the cloth and the final weaving has not even been done.
You can imagine how disappointed my friend felt. It was just few hours to the event that the tailor ran into his house with the cloth when he was already making plans for an alternative cloth to wear. Tell me, if my friend has more jobs or even referrals in the future, will he refer the tailor? Obviously not. It does not stop at knowing what to do and having what the customer needs but time matters.

There are some services that if a business delays to their customers, it will be counted as a total non-delivery. Just to let you know, delay, most times, carries an almost equal consequence with an absolute inaction. Even when it comes to equity, delays will always defeat that. It may interest you to know that when two similar opportunities are presented in the same format, the first to arrive on the scene will always prevail.
Each time you leave what you are supposed to execute today till tomorrow, what you have succeeded to do is to kill time. Just to let you know; the time that you lose while procrastinating may not be recovered again. You may have what your potential customers need but if they know you for not delivering on time, they will rather take their chances with the one that deceivers on time even if they may not be as preferable as the former.
A point will come when you will realize how fast the world is moving and you will understand that availability will always be preferred in place of capability. While you are striving to get better and to improve on your services, you have to try to turn time into your ally by making your services timely.
A friend of mine once made a very humorous but insightful statements a few months back and I found wisdom in it and can be applied in other places, he said: "cooking food may be an art and a good one at that but if you want to open an eatery, you have to learn speed too. It will not make sense to cook noodles for 2 hours while your customers are waiting".

Your customers are very keen to know when and how quick you will deliver your goods/services to them, so always try to keep to your agreed time, for the sake of future patronages.
