Waiting on God's Timing Isn't Easy, But It's Worth It
If I am being honest, waiting is one of the hardest things for me.
I like seeing results. I like having answers. I like knowing exactly when things will happen. But life doesn't always work that way, and neither does God.
There have been moments in my life when I prayed for something with all my heart and expected an immediate answer. Sometimes it was for an opportunity, sometimes for direction, and other times it was simply for peace during difficult seasons.
Yet, instead of an instant answer, I was met with silence.
At first, I thought God wasn't listening. I wondered if my prayers were not good enough or if I had done something wrong. But as time passed, I began to understand something important: God's delays are not always His denials.
Sometimes God uses waiting seasons to prepare us.
During those quiet moments, I learned patience. I learned to trust Him even when I couldn't see what He was doing. I learned that faith isn't just believing when everything is going well; faith is choosing to trust God even when nothing seems to be happening.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 says:
"He has made everything beautiful in its time."
That verse reminds me that God works according to His perfect timing, not mine.
Looking back, I can see that some prayers were answered later than I wanted because I wasn't ready for them when I first asked. If God had given me everything immediately, I might not have appreciated the lessons I learned while waiting.
The waiting season changed me.
It made me stronger. It made me pray more. It made me depend on God instead of my own understanding.
Maybe you are in a waiting season right now. Maybe you have been praying for a breakthrough, a job, healing, or an answer to something important.
Don't lose hope.
God sees your tears, hears your prayers, and knows exactly what you need. Even when you cannot see Him working, He is still at work behind the scenes.
The waiting may not be easy, but one day you will look back and understand why God asked you to trust Him.
And when His answer finally comes, you will realize that His timing was worth the wait.
Thank you for reading. May God strengthen everyone who is currently in a season of waiting.
