I once listened to an interview of one of the greatest footballer of this age. When he was asked about his passion for football, he simply made this statement; " I am excited at what I do." He went further to reveal that he would still choose football even if he is not being paid for it. This is why he has put in extensive amount of work towards developing his football career, because his passion is fueled by excitement. When you do what you find joy in doing, there is an ease that comes to you and you will gain mastery in it.

When you create your dream or an idea, you should also device a way to pursue after it with passion. Make your dreams big enough to spur your zeal but small enough to get you excited to do it. Why many people lose excitement over their dreams is because they have created an obviously impossible dream and hoping for miracle to happen. The truth is that you are more likely to do and get better results for what you are excited about than what you are forced to do.

You do not have to set a particular goal or choose a career or create a dream simply because of what other people are doing or because your friend did it. This reminds me of a particular time while I was in school. One of my very good friends joined a particular social group in school that was all about politics and government. After a while of trying to convince me, I made up my mind to join too even though I knew nothing about politics. However, I discovered that I was not flowing well with the group because it did not appeal to me and I was not excited about it. I lost interest in even attending the meetings and I finally explained to my friends that I did not fit into the group, then I had to join another group.

You see, even though my friend was very fascinated and excited about politics, it does not mean that I too would enjoy it. As a matter of fact, throughout my little stay in the group, I did not contribute to the discussions in the group meetings because I was not good at politics at that time. However, my friend who was initially a graduate of political science and then studying law was always in the front line of contributions because he finds excitement and passion in it. The same way, when you do what excites you, you will have an ease with it.

Enthusiasm and excitement are mutually inclusive. You may have a knowledge of something, but if you do not have the enthusiasm to follow after it, it will not profit you. As a matter of fact, having knowledge without enthusiasm is like having a car but their is neither battery nor fuel to get it started and to keep it going. You need more than just knowing something in order to achieve success in life. When you know something, you also need to apply it and of course, applying it appropriately to get the right result requires enthusiasm, which is also powered by excitement. Do not face life like it has offended you, show some excitement about what you do and you will be surprised how beautiful life can be.

It is almost impossible to discourage someone that is enthusiastic and excited about what he is doing. Obviously, one of the worst forms of discouragement is to lose excitement, because the person will have nothing to look forward to. Here's a little workout to help get you excited: Always focus more on the results you want to obtain, not on the challenges that you will face. It is by having your mind fixed on the result that you will be able to face the challenges. Secondly, focus more on the positive things that are happening around you and less on the negative things. Thirdly, even though you have to hope for more, expect less. Expect less from people so that your expectations will not be disappointed. Finally, always remember that you are exclusively responsibility for your goal, so give it all it takes without a recourse to whether anyone is ready to support you or not.
