Anyone that ever tells you that good things can be gotten on a platter of gold or tells you that you do not need to pay any price is not being sincere with you. For every prize that you require (which is the ultimate goal), there must be an attached price to it. Not paying the price and expecting the prize to be handed over to you is a higher level of self-deception. At a point, you will need to endure the pain for you to enjoy the gain.

As you progress in life and as you come to terms with the facts of life, you will understand that life's pains can be subcategorized into two: the pain of paying the price at the moment and gaining the prize later, or the pain of regretting later if you refuse to pay the price at the initial. You see, the appearance of the initial pain will strongly negate and prevent the appearance of the later one. When you have consciously paid the price for you to gain success, then you will not be worried about going through the pains of regret.
The honest truth is that the time that you are paying the price of success and going through that pain, it will not be too convenient and it may even be tiring but at the end, you will realize that it was worth the effort. Take this example: when you were preparing for your degree exams, you will agree with me that you took the pains of reading extensively for it. The reason is so that you will be able to pass and to avoid the pain of failing it and having to write it again. You see, it is better that you willingly take the pain of paying the price than to miss the prize and pay with regrets later.
The truth that you should remind yourself is that life will always present you with challenges but you should also know that the challenges are not to harm or halt your motion but to bring out the best in you. This is why, instead of avoiding the challenges, it will be worthwhile to stand and face them, because your success may just lie in overcoming the challenges.
As the days go by, there are levels of challenges that you should brace up to expect. As a farmer for example, you should expect the challenges of rain et all, so you should make provisions and brace yourself to take on the challenges. You should not wait until the challenges come before you get yourself ready to take it, you have to prepare ahead and anticipate its arrival. It is true that you should hope for the best, but this does not mean that you should not be prepare for the worst.

Each time challenges come your way, even if they appear to be too big, just remind yourself that the challenges come because you can overcome them. Obviously, if you had overcome any challenge in the past up till the arrival of the new one, then you should give yourself the hope that you will surely overcome this one too. This will give you the zeal and the oomph to take on the challenge.
Note this, however; Without having patience, you will lose out of the most amazing things of life. When a farmer plants his crops, the only thing he needs to put into place is patience. No good farmer will plant a tree and expect to harvest from it the next day. He will allow it for a period to germinate, grow, bring flowers, and then bear fruits, but he will tender for it well. All these may be painful but they are necessary, and at the end, the harvest will come and the farmer will smile. In the same way, there are necessary pains you need to bear for you to get the gain in the future.
