There is always one of two ways in which an individual is remembered: either for the problem they helped to solve, or for the problem they caused. So you need to ask yourself if you are among those that solve problems or you create them. As much as the world is ladened with challenges and problems, you can be the solution that the world is looking for. As a matter of fact, the reason why there is darkness is for light to shine and be appreciated. In the same way, the reason why there is problem is for you to proffer solutions to them and make your mark on earth.

The easiest way to make for success and excellence is to be a solution provider. In business for example, instead of looking for ways to rip off your customers, just think of ways to provide solutions to their problems and they will seek for you, and profits will be made. No matter who you are and where you are from, if you have what the world is looking for, they will not have any choice than to seek for your assistance. Many of the people that have written their names on the history book of life did so by providing solutions to problems.
The truth is that you may not be able to prevent certain problems from arising, but you can leverage on them to create an impact by solving them. Great minds do not focus on giving excuses for problems but on how to solve them. By being positive, you tend to see solutions even in the worst of the problems. But to the negative person, they will see a problem even in the best of situations. If you always think positivities, it will reflect on how you positively act and react to situations.
At some points in life, you will realise that at any stage you are, there will be a solution that you can provide - it may not be the size of the solution that matters but the readiness, availability, timeliness, and relevance of the solution. For example; in darkness, there is no solution that will make more sense than introducing light. If someone gives you a book to read in darkness, it will not make sense to you, but if he gives you a lighted lantern, the intensity of light notwithstanding, it will hold more importance in darkness than any other thing. In the same way, in life, it may be the seemingly small solution that you give to someone in need that will make the much required impact in their lives.

I once read the story of René Laennec; the man that invented the medical stethoscope. He was a medical practitioner in the time of old. At that time, doctors used to physically place their ears right on the chest of their patients in order for them to check and monitor their heartbeat. Of course, this method had many downsides and limitations and was not accurate. More so, the thought of putting your ears directly on the chest of someone just to hear the beating of their heart was weird. While a lot of people saw the problem, it was only him that moved to provide the solution and that was how the invention of stethoscope came to be.
There is kind of inner feeling of joy and fulfilment that comes to someone when they know that they have provided a solution to a particular bugging problem facing humanity. When you know that someone is happy because of your kind actions towards them, it will trigger the feeling of happiness in you too. The truth is that even if you cannot affect the entire world positively, you can start from where you are and affect the environment for the better, then it will spread. Have you ever asked yourself in what ways you are providing solutions to humanity? If you cannot answer the question, then you need to do more.
The seemingly little solution you give to someone may be what the person needs to restore their faith in humanity. More so, the world is already getting intensely tough - so if you cannot become a solution to someone, at least do not add to their problems.
