An unhappy mood is a state that everyone sometimes experiences, but there is a big difference between experiencing a temporary life of unhappiness and living a customarily unhappy life. That is what chronically unhappy people do. And although many of these people are afraid to admit it, a large majority of their dissatisfaction is based on their own beliefs and behaviours.

Over the past decade, I've helped hundreds of unfortunate people rediscover their smile, and we've learned a lot about the negative beliefs and behaviours they typically hold back. Even if you are usually a happy person, take a look at the following short list. Many of the unfortunate people we've worked with through our course and coaching initially refused to admit that they carried these beliefs and behaviours, even if the evidence against them was undeniable. See if some of these items prevent you from experiencing greater amounts of pleasure.

1. They fight with self-esteem

Decide this minute, never again to ask someone for the love, the respect and the attention that you should show yourself. Be a friend to yourself. Trust your inner mind and follow your instincts. Completely accept who you are, the good and the bad, and change your life as you see fit - not because you think someone else wants you different, but because you know it's right for you is. Be the person with whom you will be happy for the duration of your life. Do not rely on your partner or anyone else for your happiness and self-esteem. Know that our first and last love is always self-love and that if you can not love and respect yourself, no one else will be able to.

2. They hold on to old grudges

You will never find peace until you learn to finally let go of the hate and pain that live in your heart. Life is far too short to be bitterness and to register injustice. Resentment is for those who insist that they owe something; Forgiveness, on the other hand, is for those who are self-confident enough to stand on their own feet and move on. To move on, you need to know why you felt that way and why you no longer have to feel that way. It's about accepting the past, letting it go and pushing your mind with good intentions. Nothing strengthens your ability to heal and grow, as well as your love and forgiveness.

3. The routines they follow keep them trapped

Remember that the way you have always done it is not the only way. It's unlikely that one of the things you'll regret when you're 75 is that you did not consume enough beer in your 20s, 30s and 40s, or did not buy enough $ 8 latte from Starbucks or did not visit the same restaurants or shopping malls Office building for years. But the fear and the regret of missing out on big opportunities is a real poisonous feeling. The bottom line is that you have found out things in your comfort zone many times. You have enough of the same old, same old one. It's time to find out something new. Every corner you turn or a street you walk has a new experience waiting for you. You just have to see the opportunity and be adventurous enough to run with it for a while.
