I have always limited myself so much to continue exploring the usual cafes that I forget that there are many many more in my city. A few days ago I met with my older brother at his house and it turns out that he had completely forgotten the plan and when I arrived at his house he was not there. He lives in the center of the city, when he told me that it would take a few minutes I was going to sit in a place that was close so I walked back to Enramadas Street.
To my surprise I found a small cafe that although it can happen unknowingly has been there for a long time. It is small but cozy and its theme is about music. There I sat down and ordered an espresso of a lifetime, it's not my favorite but the only one there was.
I love the rustic touch that the place has, it's kind of old but half Moderna, and the touches that it has for the theme give it the musical air.
Answering the question of this week: I got carried away by the music that was not there but that does show you the place, I imagined a music like that very Santiago, with drums and with all the son as in this land. I became absorbed in everything I was observing and there were my thoughts, in imaginary music, in a cafe that was burning like never before, in an empty cafeteria, very important.
Enramadas which is a very busy street at that time there was no noise felt, nor anything that betrayed the bustle, what a delight to enjoy such a coffee. At that moment I forgot until I was waiting, why it had been a while, everything I had to solve, and until what day and time it was.
Moments like these are the ones I need to live every day, minutes when I leave my reality to enter another less raw one. At that time I lived in a Santiago a color, the coffee I enjoyed was the best and the lack of company was not a problem, on the contrary, it gave the unique touch to the atmosphere.
These are the moments I need every day, moments in which to escape and then return, a place to get lost.
My brother woke me up from this dream with many calls, because he was already the one who had been waiting for me for a long time, and yes he deserved it, karma. When I came to my senses, the coffee I had left was still hot, which made me realize that in real life it didn't take long, but in the dream it did.
All photos are my property. Blessed Monday.
