Hi Hivers!
I hope you are having a great Sunday. Here is my latest garden update Watching my strawberries ripen is a test of patience. They have to be left long enough that the flavour and sweetness is just right. Turning red is the first step but they still need a few more days to be totally ripe.
This beetle is taking an interest in my bean plants. I wasn't sure if he was a pest or not so gently moved him along to the edge of the garden.
These sweet potato sprouts are good to see appearing. I have others outside growing in a pot which are more progressed so I will be doing two plantings of these babies this year.
Courgettes are popping new leaves. They will put on lots of growth very quickly. I expect flowers in about three weeks.
At last the red sweet pepper seeds have popped. Seemed so slow! Or am I just impatient! LOL
Apple blossoms ahead of fruit setting. .
These bean plants are ready to go out. A job for tomorrow.
My mystery seeds turned out to be basil! I couldn't be happier. Hundreds of plants here so it's going to be a year for making pesto I think!
I harvested a bunch of salad leaves and potatoes ......
and turned into a delicious potato salad with green onions, garlic onions, sage flowers, carrot and tomato.
This lettuce has almost been picked out, just a few more leaves to harvest and I will then leave it to flower and create the seeds. Each plant creates a lot of flowers and many seeds.
Thanks for checking out the garden update photos.
I hope your garden is looking good and you are harvesting delicious organic food!
