An entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.
I woke up this morning to yet more rain. More rain...it feels like of late it is nice outside when I'm in my work office, but rainy whenever I get the urge to go for a walk or hike. So this morning I grumbled out of bed, made a deal with myself that I wasn't going to sit on the couch and burn through my DEC capture rate, put the parka on, and away I went.
Thanks to my hiking boots, the mud and rain weren't overly bad to deal with. It was a little sloppy, but the walk was good. I managed to get in one of my favorite spots of the marsh here:
Check in with those hissing geese that are still running about in the area:
I then headed out to an observatory area, wherein there is a wood dock that extends itself into the marsh's lake:
With the downpour about me, I managed to get a few more shots of the green, the water, and the raindrops.
Sure, there was that swamp/methane smell about, and the geese poop was everywhere, but listening to the raindrops on the top of my parka was most peaceful. I actually thought it would be a good idea to start a YouTube channel with a GoPro tied to me head. I could actually record what I see, as well as hopefully record the sounds that I hear. Maybe, just maybe, that would be something that would be fun to publish.
That's the dementor in me, full of rain and water.
Rainy, but very peaceful. Today's walk was actually one of my better #wednesdaywalks of late.
Hoping that everyone out there had a wonderful Wednesday too - as always, until next week!
