My entry for the #Monomad Challenge.
This past weekend was a cold one; with wind chills in the -25F mark, I decided to take our daughter on a road trip to get out of the house. Our spontaneous car trip led to the discovery of an old park with a stone gazebo built in 1903. I tried to capture the cold of the scene with the setting sun in the west. So with my fingers going numb with every photo taken, I wanted to share a few frozen scenes captured with my Pixel 5 with the #monomad community.
Beautiful old arches adored the structure.
Facing south with the sun in the west.
Long February shadows signaling (spring?) in the air?
As cold and miserable as the scene was, it's comforting to know that in two, three months' time, this structure will be filled with friends and family as it has many countless times before. I might revisit this place and take more photos once the Equinox returns.
