June 'tis the season of the double IPA for me as this is my third one this week. This beer sits at a comfortable 7.4% ABV and is very smooth. I love my Citra and Mosaic hops...especially with higher ABVs. I love my smooth IPAs, and doubles even moreso!
My wife is a Dead Head, so she approves! I guess that means I get to drink all four tonight while we finish up Succession. This beer is really smooth. I do not taste any alcohol at all, yet I can already feel it as I type this one out. Yum (but dangerous!)
Today's adventure leading up to this new beer tasting was testing out my new Canon lens. A friend at work recommended it to me to assist in landscape photography. It's a Canon EF-S 10-18 mm lens, and so far so good.
I took the lens for a spin at a local county park called Goose Island. It was a lot of fun to play with it as it definitely has a different look. I snapped a few photos at GI and then did a little bit of photo editing while enjoying said beer at home. Not too bad for starters...
Natural light was low this afternoon, but the quality was very nice. It's a lens I'm looking forward to playing with some of the landscapes in the area. Thanks
