A Wednesday Walk During a March Rain

For this week’s #wednesdaywalk, as initiated by @tattoodjay, I was inspired by this morning’s walk. Sure, it was raining and overcast; I actually walked to the edge of the marsh to create a reel for IG, hoping to catch the sound of spring in the form of bird calls. On the way back, I noticed the puddles of water forming from the snow melt. More interestingly, I was drawn to the reflections of the trees and light posts forming in the puddles. With no Canon camera in tow, I fell back on my trusty Pixel phone and started snapping away.

As you can see above, the landscape was very dull, grey, and unmoving. I love to get my large landscapes in for my #wednesdaywalks, but no luck today. Yet, with a little creativity and imagination, I started to kneel down in the light rain and attempted to find some beauty in the dull morning.

My favorite was attempting to get the street light in the water; not perfect, but still interesting enough for my eye.

This fence post was fun to photograph; granted, the jogger passing by me was staring at me like “what is this dude doing,” but whatever. It’s an attempt at art, my friend!

All in all, my walk was only about 2.90 miles in length. I wanted to hit 3 miles today, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Besides, work was calling and emails needed to be answered. So, as always, I made do!
