For this week's #sublimesunday, as inspired by c0ff33a@c0ff33a, we headed back down to a park along the Mississippi River to check out newly resurrected flowers and plants. The garden area is called the International Friendship Gardens, and thanks to the work of many volunteers, it's a peaceful spot to visit with many beautiful plants to enjoy.

It's a beautiful place to visit, year-round. The artists in the area like to hang out here to get drawings, sketches, and paintings of the unique flowers. The photographers are always here too, with lenses and cameras well beyond my scope of the hobby. I just take a few photos where I can on days like this with my Pixel. Usually, at the request of Hattie...

Plus, the Pixel is perfect days like this. I don't have to lug around my new favorite camera while attempting to keep track of the little one running around.

I did buy a little point and shoot camera for our daughter, but she was only into it for a few days. I think she'll eventually get back to it, but in the meantime, she was busy being Batgirl and climbing the rocks about as we attempted to take in the spring colors.

Once again, it was a day of dodging rain and thunderstorms, but managed to keep our #sublimesunday streak alive. Next weekend the gang will be away in Michigan, so with a little luck and good weather, I might have a proper adventure ready to share come next Sunday evening. That's the hope anyway!

Thanks for checking out my #sublimesunday post...until next weekend, have a wonderful week everyone!
