Hi friends! There are more than 7,000 languages in the world and more than 600 crore people in 195 countries. Each person has a mother tongue of his own. Every one loves thier language. Some countries has second and third language also.

In india there are more than 100 types of languages and 22 of them are constitutional languages. Bangladesh has one constitutional language. There are more than 54 tribes and 35 tribal language. Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Garo, Murong, Khashia etc are main tribes of Bangladesh. Some of them are Mongoloid. In our country primary books are also written in 5 different tribal languages for tribes. Because gathering knowledge in own language is the best way to understand easily.

Bangladesh is the only country which is named by its national language name. Here Bangla is the mother tongue and desh means country in bengali. In 1952 the then government of Pakistan declared that Urdu and only Urdu will be the state language of Pakistan. Some of the students of Bangladesh protested against the section 144 by the then Pakistan government in 21st February, 1952. They broke the section 144. As a result the Pakistani police opened fire the protesters and died Abdus Salam, Abul Barkat, Shafiur, Rafiqul Islam and more.

Then the Pakistan government withdrew their rule. It was a historical movement of history of Bangladesh. The Unesco has proclaimed 21st February as the international mother language day in 1999. Every year this day is celebrated in our country. A Shahid Minar was built near Dhaka Medical College. Many political leaders and generel citizens give flower in front of Shahid Minar in 21st February remembering the sacrifice of the martyrs. We love our mother tongue but in Bangladesh some people have who taught their children English language and admitte them in English medium school. Even a lot of students of English medium school can't understand and speak Bengali.

They also adopt the foreign culture. But the matter of sorrow that their parents feel very proud of them. They send their children abroad for higher education and settled there forever. A true patriotic person never left his country but for socio-economic perspective in Bangladesh a lot of people have been trying to settle abroad for better future.
