Sport is a place for losers, is what I used to hear back in my hometown 15 years ago. If you are the kind to strive, choose a profession worth the price and effort, sports was clearly not even in the options. Back then if I had to strive to stick to sports, what would a female have to go through? Could she even think about it?

Many ask me why do I pull topics from the graveyard, but they fail to notice that many who are shining like stars once in their lifetime had to go through the struggle which is luckily now considered as a graveyard topic. However, many would agree that even now many people, male, female, or transgenders, are having to struggle when they choose sports as their profession.

Yes, the stigmatized topic is no more so, but the stain hasn't gone yet. Sports is still a choice not many can take easily. Sports is still a choice that is thought against several times before attempting to actually be in it.

Today is International Women's Day, Women have come across more hurdles than one can imagine. It is true that their struggle is incomparable. In this light, even transgenders are still struggling for the light and hope, while some are still being diverted. Who doesn't like to sit idly and enjoy life? Only a very few intend to accept the battles while making their way out of it.

If I start to mention the many prolific players, it will surely amaze the paused mind. The generations have changed, and more hard-working jobs make their way in our life. If we choose to take it the easy way, it wouldn't be wrong but if the easy way is not what we dream to be, what is the purpose of choosing it?

Rocketing over the hurdles, we shuffle and choose to become what we earnestly yearn for, therefore choosing wisely is all that we can learn. If you like sports, you better know what you are choosing.
