It is mid winter here in South-Africa, and what could be better than a Braai and some Red Wine on a cold winters evening?
We went to visit my brother for dinner, where we had a nice Braai. We had the fire going, and I took out a nice Croydon 2018 red blend.
The label states that it is a blend of a number of styles, with a Bouquet of Blackcurrant, liquorice and peach shavings. Like usual, I did not get all those flavours, but the wine tasted good nevertheless.
The wine comes in a 750ml bottle and has 13% alcohol. It comes from Stellenbosch in South-Africa.
We had a nice fire going and started with some ribs on the coals.
Later on we added some Pork Chops and Sausage!!
We had a great evening socializing around the fire and just spending some quality time with family, while enjoying a great meal.
Remember, I am an old Railway Worker, and don't know anything about wine, all I know is that it tasted great!!
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you have a wonderful day!
