My story begins a few years ago when I lost everything when my award winning recruitment company liquidated. This company I had for 10 years and we were competing against the big listed companies and doing great. Generally, the failure of a company starts slowly without you noticing and suddenly speeds up end when it’s too late. I won’t bore you with all the details but I went from living extremely well in expensive houses and driving expenses cars to a mountain of debt, selling my furniture to feed my family and fielding 10 calls a day from debt collectors asking for money.
At this point we had to move in with my in-laws on the family farm because we had no money. Great confidence builder for me, I was 35 years old with 3 little boys and depending on my wife’s father to provide for us. It was at this point of reflection in my life I asked myself what could I do for the rest of my career to make money I always believed I could make.
I have a Computer Science degree and love trading……then I discovered bitcoin. I had nothing to lose, I had already lost everything. I dived down the crypto rabbit hole! They say everything happens for a reason. I never really understood they saying until now. I now trade bitcoin for a living, I help others get into bitcoin and I have time to spend with my family every day. I could never do this in Johannesburg leaving for work in the dark and coming home in the dark. All of this was possible because I lost virtually all material things in my life.

Matthew my oldest at 7 years old, on his first day of Grade 1. Great school where all the farmers kids go.
Thomas, who was 5 years old in this video and is an incredibly talented cricketer. Big reason is we had a cricket net on the farm and now I have time to bowl to him everyday. This would have not been the case if we stayed in Johannesburg.
Oliver my youngest at 4 years old. Oliver almost never made it into this world. He stopped breathing numerous times in the first 48 hrs of his life due to a heart issue. But he was a fighter and never gave up. Now the happiest and healthiest little boy you could imagine enjoying the outdoors.
I am now creating an income for myself in the cryto world in an area where there are few options for jobs. I am in Africa earning dollars which I have created out of essentially nothing. Goes to show that no matter where we are and no matter what our circumstances are we can make it. We have moved out of my in-laws house and now stay on a farm overlooking a game reserve.

I often see the giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and eland down below. All of this would not have been possible if I had not hit rock bottom. Rock bottom is the foundation from where I rebuilt my life. The key is not giving up and keep moving forward. You only fail when you stop trying.
