My name is Mahboube, which means " beloved" in my language.
This autumn I'll be turning 43. I have a bachelor's degree in painting, and for many years, art has played a very important role in my life alongside my daily routine.

My husband and I met at the University of Art, and we got married. Our son is now eleven years old.

It's been about four years since we moved to this coastal city, and this migration has brought many changes to our lives.

You know, when people decide to immigrate, they're actually making the hardest decision of their lives. You have to leave behind the people you love — your family and friends — and let go of a place that's familiar to you, where you know your way around and feel at home. Then you have to start over in a new place where you know no one and nothing, building new experiences, new relationships, and getting used to a new culture and new habits.

My family and I weren't afraid of this experience, because together we can handle anything.

I'll definitely show you some of my paintings in future posts.

Art is the wine of life, and every soul needs to know an art form to polish its spirit through that art.
