Hello beautiful people of the internet, and today especially to the Alient Art Hive community, I hope you are doing great, and have a happy start of the week.
A few days ago as I was scanning through images to see what my next drawing might be, as I was going back and forth through the images, one of the greatest ideas I've ever come up with came to mind. Since I am a great lover of snakes and portraits, why not combine those two fascinations in one drawing? And right then and there I got down to work. Basically what I wanted to do was a kind of snake going in and out of the woman's face (sounds a bit macabre XD). I always draw things that already exist or that someone else already did, I'm not very creative when I draw, that's why it's something very new for me to do something that is totally out of my mind, although I always have crazy ideas that I could draw, I never dare to start them, maybe because of a fear? Mmm, I don't know, but this drawing helped me to take my ideas beyond thought and give me the opportunity to bring them to reality.
Well, with nothing more to say, I'll leave you with the drawing process:
To make the sketch of the drawing I looked for several references to help me determine the position of the woman and the snake, after a while I managed to decide and I was sketching, and anything I wanted to modify I was changing it while I was seeing how it was.
Here I begin to draw, with a 6B pencil I began the hair, I made lines according to the direction to which this one went, with this same one I drew the eyelashes. With a 4B I drew the areas of greater contrast, and with the pencils 2B and B I went to the lighter parts of the face. Making use of the different degrees of darkness of the pencils I made depth effects to make the drawing look as realistic as possible.
I completed the face, added a little more contrast in areas that needed it, tried to define a little more the eyes and her hair.
For the neck I used the pencils 4B, 2B, in this part I drew with a lot of patience, although seeing how it was coming out I was very anxious to see how it was at the end hahaha, I also added a little brightness in areas like the nose, the upper part of the jaw, they are small touches that do quite well to the finish of the drawing. The snake, for this one I used the pencils 4B and B, after giving it some shading what I did was to add scales, and I highlighted with the 4b in several areas to make see that it is in contact with the skin.
And so I finished the drawing, for this occasion I wanted to try to do more hatching, this helped me to loosen my hand a little and contrast more my drawing, helping me with the shadows to achieve a better result. I really feel very happy with my drawing, I really liked the result and it turned out better than I could have imagined hahaha. Hola gente linda de internet, y hoy en especial a la comunidad de Alient Art Hive, espero que se encuentre súper bien, y que tengan un feliz inicio de semana.
Hace unos días mientras exploraba entre imágenes para ver que podría ser mi próximo dibujo, mientras iba pasando y pasando por las imágenes, se me vino a la mente una de las más grandes ideas que he llegado a tener. Como yo soy un gran amante de las serpientes y de hacer retratos, ¿Porque no combinar esas dos fascinaciones en un solo dibujo? Y ahí mismo me puse manos a la obra. Básicamente lo que yo quería hacer era una especie de serpiente que iba entrando y saliendo por la cara de la mujer (suena un poco macabro XD). Yo siempre dibujo cosas que ya existen o que alguien más ya hizo, no soy muy creativo cuando dibujo, por eso es algo muy nuevo para mí hacer algo que sea totalmente sacado de mi mente, aunque siempre tenga ideas locas que pudiera dibujar, nunca me animo a empezarlas, ¿Tal vez por un miedo? Mmm, no lo sé, pero este dibujo me ayudo a llevar mis ideas más allá del pensamiento y poder darme la oportunidad de traerlas a la realidad.
Bueno, ya sin más nada que decir, los dejo con el proceso del dibujo:
Para hacer el boceto del dibujo busque varias referencias que me ayudaran a determinar la posición de la mujer y la serpiente, después de un rato logre decidirme y fui bocetando, y cualquier cosa que quisiera modificar la iba cambiando mientras fuese viendo como quedaba.
Aquí ya empiezo a dibujar, con un lápiz 6B empecé el cabello, hice líneas según la dirección a la que este fuera, con este mismo dibujé las pestañas. Con un 4B dibujé las zonas de mayor contraste, y con los lápices 2B y B fui llevando a las partes más claras del rostro. Haciendo use de los diferentes grados de oscuridad de los lápices hice efectos de profundidad para así hacer que el dibujo parezca lo más realista posible.
Completé el rostro, añadí un poco más de contraste en zonas que lo requerían, traté de definir un poco más los ojos y su cabello.
Para el cuello use los lápices 4B, 2B, en esta parte dibuje con mucha paciencia, aunque ya viendo como estaba quedando andaba muy ansioso por ver al final como quedaba jajaja, también agregue un poco de brillo en áreas como la nariz, la parte superior de la mandíbula, son pequeños retoques que hacen bastante bien al acabado del dibujo. La serpiente, para esta utilicé los lápices 4B y B, después de darle cierto sombreado lo que hice fue añadirle escamas, y remarqué con el 4b en varias zonas para hacer ver que esta está en contacto con la piel.
Y así quedo terminado el dibujo, para esta ocasión quise probar hacer más tramado, esto me ayudo a soltar un poco la mano y contrastar más mi dibujo, ayudándome de las sombras para lograr un mejor resultado. Realmente me siento muy feliz con mi dibujo, me gusto bastante su resultado y quedo mejor de lo que hubiera imaginado jajaja. Me gustaría saber tu opinión. ¿Te gusto? ¿Me darías algún consejo?
