A Friendly Reminder
I wrote this not long ago after my mother passed away. With each passing day, I become a little more detached, which isn't as bad as it sounds. Sometimes just feeling is all you can do. Fighting it only makes it harder. Like most of my work, this was written first. It was short enough, I could get it in one image. I'll type it below since some don't like reading the cursive.
BandAids Over Bullet Holes
won't prevent you from dying,
but sometimes the world is -
simply better with access to
memories of happier times.
For me, it was when I was still alive.
When bad things seemed temporary
and all the words you said were true...
"Family will always be there for you."
The Biggest Lie.
No one can always do anything
Because everyone dies.
Humanity is set up for pain-
Afterall we're all conscious -
so it must be...
part of the design.
Thanks for Reading!
