BACKGROUND

I have taken a moment to toss myself into a pit of procedural madness and learn more about blenders programmable side.

I have this tension that is also reflected in a few recent tweets, where I am watching Hive's prices plummet while simultaneously see insane returns for DEFI on the Ethereum platform.

While I still love Hive and enjoy the community so much, part of me wants to tap into the yield farming I've read about to have a little more freedom.

I love listening to Power Surge's videos and feel like he adds an important piece to the NFT market. He aggregates the activity seen with NFTs on Ethereum where thousands of dollars are flying back and forth between buyers and sellers. I wanted to donate a piece of art I made on rarible for some exposure, but I saw that I didn't have enough ETH to send him an NFT gift.

It was at that moment I realized I had enough test content to make a statement. It is the perfect ingredients for a piece, really. You have NFT artists making thousands per sale, Twitter NFT buyers asking for more artists works to buy, and me with this message when I try to send an NFT gift to Power Surge.

As of today, the network wanted $3.50 in fees (huge drop from a few weeks ago), which isn't too bad. But from previous NFT posts, I had used up a large amount of due to gas fees for NFTs that currently sit on rarible.

So this piece is inspired by gas fees. The @nftshowroom has a very straightforward NFT creation process. 5 HIVE for 1 edition and 1 HIVE for additional editions. At today's prices, posting a single edition NFT on @nftshowroom costs about $0.75 USD.

I view every aspect of this gas fee frustration as a blessing and I've allowed some of the numbers in the NFT to inspire the prices for the 5 editions I've released.
