Car Tires Need to Be Replaced/ Cambio necesario de los cauchos del carro 🚗

Hello, friends at Hive and @hivemotors. I hope you’re all doing great. We’re doing well here, thank God. It’s been a long time since I’ve checked in with the community, and it’s not because the car has been in good shape—it’s just that with everything going on, I kept forgetting to take pictures. But we’ve had a lot of issues to deal with, including problems with the transmission that required a significant investment. Right now I’m trying to iron out some remaining issues, but I had to shell out a lot of money to buy the four tires.

Hola amigos de Hive y @hivemotors, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. Por aquí estamos estamos bien gracias a Dios. Tenía mucho tiempo sin pasar por la comunidad y no es porque el carro hubiese estado bien sino que entre tanta cosa olvidaba tomar las fotos pero hemos tenido muchas cosas que resolver, entre ellas la caja dio problemas y se tuvo que hacer una buena inversión. Ahorita estoy tratando de resolver detalles que tiene pero tuve que hacer un gasto fuerte comprando los 4 cauchos.

We really should have replaced the tires a long time ago—they actually lasted quite a while since they were two years old, but you could already see the mesh, and driving like that was dangerous. We had to leave the car parked for a while until we could buy new ones, but at least the kids had already graduated from high school and were home. To get around here, we took the shortest route, but that fell to my wife because I was away.

As soon as I got back, the first thing I did was take care of that because I needed the car running so I could take my sick mom to her doctor’s appointments, and there were also a lot of things that had piled up while I was away, since Rosa was left without the car.

Ya eso de los cauchos había que hacerlo hace tiempo, más bien duraron bastante porque tenían dos años y ya se les veía la malla y andar así era un peligro, y lo tuvimos parado un tiempo hasta que se pudieron comprar, pero por lo menos los muchachos ya habían salido del liceo y estaban en la casa, y para movernos por aquí andábamos en ruta corta pero eso le tocó fue a mi esposa porque yo estaba fuera.

Apenas llegué lo primero que hice fue encargarme de eso porque necesitaba el carro operativo para poder llevar a mi mamá que está enferma a las consultas y que también habían muchas cosas atrasadas porque yo no estaba y Rosa quedó sin el carro.

I was planning to buy the tires at the same place where I bought the ones I was going to replace because they turned out to be good, but they didn't have any in stock and it would take two weeks for them to arrive. Since I needed to get this taken care of, I bought them at ** Fórmula Uno**, which is another place near my house, and I made sure to shop around and choose tires that would last, because we make a lot of trips to the boys’ high school, and it’s not close to home.

First, I had two tires installed—the ones that were in the worst shape—and the best part is that since I paid in foreign currency, it ended up being a little cheaper. About a week later, I went to buy the other two, and this time I found some that seemed to be of better quality than the first ones.

Another thing I need to take care of is buying a water pump and a tripoide, but we’re taking it one step at a time because it’s an old car and there are a lot of issues to fix—but we’re taking it step by step.

Yo pensaba comprar los cauchos en el mismo sitio donde compré los que iba a cambiar porque salieron buenos pero no tenían y se iba a demorar dos semanas en llegar y como necesitaba resolver los compré en Fórmula Uno que es otro lugar cerca de mi casa y me aseguré de buscar bien y escoger cauchos que puedan durar porque lo que pasa es que se hacen muchos viajes para el liceo de los muchachos y no es cerca de la casa.

Primero monté dos cauchos que eran los que estaban más críticos y lo bueno de todo es que como pagué en divisas me salío un poco más barato y como a la semana fui a comprar los otros dos, que esa vez, encontré unos que me parecieron de mejor calidad que los primeros.

Otra cosa que tengo que resolver es comprarle la bomba de agua y un tripoide, pero vamos poco a poco porque él es un carrito viejo y tiene muchas cosas que resolver pero vamos paso a paso.

At least we've gotten rid of the tires we needed to move it, and the rest will gradually fall into place. I'm waiting for some replacement parts to arrive so I can take it to the mechanic before classes start and I have to go to

work.

Ya por lo menos salimos de los cauchos que eran necesarios para moverlo y poco a poco se irá resolviendo lo demás. Estoy esperando que lleguen unos repuestos para llevarlo al mecánico antes de que arranquen clases y me toque trabajar.
