A temporary solution for the car window 🔧😉 [Eng/Esp]

Hello friends of Hive and @hivemotors, I hope everyone is doing well. We are doing great here, I haven't written for this community for a while, but today I bring you a practical solution (provisional) for a problem I had with one of the windows of the car.

Hola amigos de Hive y @hive-motors, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. Por aquí estamos muy bien, tenía tiempo que no escribía para esta comunidad, pero hoy les traigo una solución práctica (provisional) para un problema que tuve con una de las ventanas del carro.

It turns out that for some time I have the front windows that do not go down, the copilot's one is damaged the motor gear that raises and lowers the glass, and a few months ago I had it fixed but it did not last 2 weeks well when it was damaged again. The mechanic welded three screws to the shaft and these held the teeth of the plastic gear but they always came off the welding and I had already gone about 4 times to have it re-welded and I got tired of going and I left it.

The other glass, the pilot's one, the engine was damaged and that one can not do anything, so I have to buy a used engine to install it, the copilot's one if I thought to fix it and I share with you the idea of what I did to solve that until I find another place to take the car to solve both glasses.

But since it's getting too hot these days here on the island I decided to do a little work on both panes so that I could easily lower and raise them to a permanent solution.

Resulta que desde hace un tiempo tengo los vidrios delanteros que no bajan, el del copiloto se le daño el engranaje del motor que hace subir y bajar el vidrio, ya hace unos meses lo mandé arreglar pero no duraba 2 semanas bien cuando se volvía a dañar. El mecánico le soldaba tres tornillos al eje y estos sujetaban los dientes del engranaje de plástico pero siempre se despegaban de la soldadura y ya había ido como 4 veces para que los volviera a soldar y me cansé de ir y lo fui dejando.

El otro vidrio, el del piloto se le daño el motor y ese sí que no se puede hacer nada, así que tengo que comprar un motor usado para instalarlo, el del copiloto si pensaba arreglarlo y les comparto la idea de lo que hice para solucionar eso hasta encontrar otro lugar a donde llevar el carro a resolver ambos vidrios.

Pero como en estos días está haciendo demasiado calor acá en la isla decidí hacerle un trabajito a ambos vidrios de forma que los pudiera bajar y subir fácilmente hasta resolver de manera permanente.

The first thing I did was to remove the plastic that covers the door, I removed the wooden stick that was supporting the glass so that the glass would not come down, I lowered the glass a little and in one of the holes of the metal base of the glass I passed a cloth tape and tied it. Then I ran the tape inside the door and pulled it out over the top edge of the door.

After I had the tape up I tested if it went up well by pulling the tape, and yes, it goes up well although with a little effort, then I put the plastic back on the door and tightened it with the screws. I tried again to lower and raise the glass and there was no problem.

Now I had to find a way to hold the tape to prevent the glass from lowering, and I did not want to damage the plastic that covers the door by placing something fixed to hold the tape, so I took out the screw that goes on the door handle and tied a tape and made a kind of ring and put the screw back in.

Lo primero que hice fué desmontar el plástico que recubre la puerta, retiré el palo de madera que estaba de apoyo para que el vidrio no se bajara, bajé un poco el vidrio y en unos de los orificios de la base metálica del vidrio pasé una cinta de tela y la amarré. Luego pase la cinta por dentro de la puerta y la saqué por el borde superior de la misma.

Luego que tenía la cinta arriba probé si subía bien halando la cinta, y sí, sube bien aunque con un poco de esfuerzo, luego volví a colocar el plástico a la puerta y la ajuste con los tornillos. Probé nuevamente bajar y subir el vidrio y no había problema.

Ahora tenía que buscar la manera de sujetar la cinta para evitar que el vidrio se bajara, y no quería dañar el plástico que recubre la puerta colocándole algo fijo para que sujetará la cinta, así que saque el tornillo que va en el tirador de la puerta y le amarré una cinta y le hice una especie de aro y volví colocar el tornillo.

With the glass up I passed the tape through the ring to which I put the screw, then I grabbed another screw put it on the ring and tied the blue tape to the screw along with the ring, so, when I go to lower the glass all I have to do is remove the screw and untie the tape and this way I do it faster and easier.

Con el vidrio arriba pasé la cinta a través del aro al que le coloqué al tornillo, luego agarré otro tornillo lo coloque sobre el aro y amarre la cinta azul al tornillo junto con el aro, así, cuando fuera a bajar el vidrio lo que tengo que hacer es sacar el tornillo y desatar la cinta y de esta forma lo hago más rapido y fácilmente.
