Hello, Splinterlands warriors.
There’s one moment I always look forward to after playing a few rounds of Brawls. It’s not just seeing the final standings or where my guild finishes at the end of the competition—it’s the moment when my Merits balance finally reaches the point where I can exchange them for Gladius Cases.
This week's Brawl gave me another memorable story.
After several rounds fighting alongside my guildmates, my accumulated Merits finally passed 20,000. The moment I saw that number, I already knew exactly what I was going to do. There was no reason to keep saving them. That very day, I exchanged them for 10 Gladius Packs.
To be honest, I always enjoy opening Gladius Packs. There's something special about the experience compared to opening reward chests or card draws. Maybe it's because Gladiator cards can only be earned through Brawls, making every single pack feel far more valuable.
Without wasting any time, I headed straight to the Open Multiple menu.
I've always preferred opening several packs at once. Maybe it's just the hopeful superstition of a player who's spent too much time chasing good luck, but I always feel that opening more packs together somehow increases the chances of pulling something truly special.
Ten packs were ready.
I clicked Flip All.
One by one, the cards began filling the screen. The first few cards were exactly what I expected. Commons and Rares appeared in their usual rhythm. I simply enjoyed watching them reveal themselves without expecting too much.
Then, halfway through the opening...
Something happened that every Splinterlands player hopes to see.
One of the cards began to shake.
And when that happens, almost every player knows exactly what it means.
A Legendary card.
The card revealed itself as Larissa Kerato.
Before I had even finished celebrating that pull, the remaining cards continued flipping over.
Then...
The screen shook once again.
For the second time during the same opening session.
Another Legendary appeared.
This time, it was Fina Voxom.
Honestly, I couldn't believe it.
Pulling a single Legendary from a batch of Gladius Packs is already enough to make my day. But getting two Legendary cards from just ten packs felt like the perfect reward for all the patience I've put into playing Brawls over the past weeks.

Once all the cards had been revealed, I started reviewing my updated collection.
Among all the new additions, there was one Gladiator I'd been waiting to upgrade for quite some time.
Trapp Falloway.
At last, I had collected enough copies to upgrade him to Level 4.
The biggest reward wasn't simply the improved stats.
At Level 4, Trapp Falloway unlocks the Halving ability.
This ability is incredibly interesting because it reduces an enemy's attack power. In longer battles, effects like this often become the deciding factor between victory and defeat. Immediately, I began imagining all the different team combinations that could make great use of this new ability.
Meanwhile, my other Gladiator cards also continued growing. Most of them aren't ready for another level-up just yet, but that's simply part of the journey. Every Brawl brings in a few more BCX, and little by little, my Gladiator collection keeps getting stronger.
That's exactly what I love about the Brawl system in Splinterlands.
Not every reward has to feel huge right away. Sometimes the most meaningful progress happens gradually. One copy today, two more next week, and before you realize it, a few seasons later your favorite Gladiator has reached a much higher level.
Luck is always exciting.
But luck often smiles on players who are patient enough to keep collecting Merits, one Brawl at a time.
Today's biggest highlights were undoubtedly the two Legendary cards—Larissa Kerato and Fina Voxom. Combined with finally upgrading Trapp Falloway to Level 4 and unlocking Halving, this opening session felt incredibly rewarding.
Now my next goal is already clear.
Keep fighting in Brawls.
Keep collecting Merits.
And someday, open another 10 Gladius Packs.
Because in Splinterlands, you're never truly finished building your collection. There's always one more card to chase, one more level to unlock, and one more strategy waiting to be tested on the battlefield.
