Hello Splinterlands warriors, how are you today?
Hopefully youāre still fired up to battle⦠even though sometimes what weāre fighting isnāt just the enemy, but also our own decisions when choosing a lineup. š
This time I want to share a story about one card that can quietly change the course of a battle. That card is: Conjurer's Hubris.
Honestly, at first I hesitated to get Conjurer's Hubris.
Not because itās not good⦠but because itās expensive.
This is a dual splinter Fire and Water card, with a mana cost of 11.
At max level, it has:
And what finally made me āgive inā and buy it for long-term collection?
Its four offensive abilities:
Though for now, Iāve only tried using one copy.
What you can gain once the card is upgraded and unlocks Ambush:
Especially when combined with:
This isnāt just an opening attackā¦
itās like starting the battle with a heavy blow. But of course, thatās in full upgrade mode.
I tried this card in a battle with these rulesets:
Even though my card was still level 1, I went for it anyway.
The result?
Honestly⦠I won.
But I wonāt act like Iām a proāthis was one of those wins where luck definitely played a role, especially since my opponent wasnāt a random player.
Whatās interesting:
Even without full abilities, the dual attack still felt impactful. I could still deal damage even from a mid position.

What makes Conjurer's Hubris unique:
This makes it feel like:
š a tank that isnāt in the front line
š while also being a main damage dealer
Itās rare to find a card that can play both roles at once.
But of course, no card is perfect.
Some downsides I noticed:
My impression of Conjurer's Hubris?
Expensive, but worth it.
Especially if you like playing aggressively and controlling the tempo from the start.
Strategies I can share:
In the end, from all this experience I learned one thing:
Sometimes victory isnāt decided in the middle or the end⦠but in the very first second that not everyone notices.
See you in the arena. And be careful⦠your opponent might have already attacked before you even blink. š
