Tibia is a game that offers many possibilities beyond the standard experience-gaining mechanics. In this game, we can complete quests, collect the Bestiary, kill bosses for profit, and search for Fiendish creatures.
The Bestiary was introduced to the game during the 2017 winter update. Year after year, the game’s developers modify it and add additional improvements.
The Bestiary is essentially an encyclopedia of the monsters we’ve killed. That’s probably the simplest explanation. As you progress through Tibia, you’ll encounter many different creatures; by killing them, your character learns and gathers information about them. The first creature you defeat unlocks its entry in a specific category—there are currently 21 categories.
List of monsters in the Bestiary
The monsters in the bestiary are divided into 4 categories: trivial, easy, medium, and hard. Depending on a monster’s difficulty level, you’ll need to defeat it a certain number of times. The number of defeats required to fully unlock each category is as follows: Rare - 5 Trivial - 250 Easy – 500 Medium – 1,000 Hard – 2,500 Challenging - 5000
As we add more entries to the bestiary, we earn charm points. With these points, we can unlock a unique ability for a specific monster. If we frequent a particular spot, we can set that charm and level up more easily. Examples of charms include increased damage, life drain, or mana drain.
What’s my opinion on the Bestiary? It’s definitely a cool addition to the game that adds variety. It lets us enjoy the game for reasons other than just focusing on leveling up. And the charms we acquire definitely help us gain experience later on, since they let us deal much more damage.
