This sounds like a Nigerian check scam. I had a friend get caught up in one of these and he ended up being convicted of felony fraud. It was not a good situation at all.

Unless you deposit a bunch steem dollars into this pyramid scheme you will never make any money. It truly is a scam and only good for a little self-expression as you say.
