So I posted last week how the simple act of trying to fund a Coinbase account ended up with me getting a call from fraud investigators regarding my bank account. Awesome. Well I actually didn't make it to the phone as I was researching crypto's but not to worry today I got a letter from the said fraud investigators instructing me to call them. Yeah, thanks Coinbase. Did I tell you that you suck? Anyway I did call them and piss away another seven or eight minutes of my life on the phone explaining that I was not a former Silk Road customer but just someone trying to get a better rate then Virwox offers on buying Bitcoin. The guy on the other end was cool about everything and had even heard of Bitcoin and Coinbase. He informed me that Coinbase was based out of the UK and that was probably the reason the bloodhounds were released to track me down. The current state of cryptocurrency reminds me so much of the early days of the internet. Yeah it's a pain to buy these altcoins for the average person and even for myself but maybe that's just one more reason to load up. Once this market develops and ease of purchase increases the use of these coins will likely also skyrocket. If the price of these alt-coins follows the path of the internet there will surely be plenty of losers but there will also be plenty of rocket-ships. I can't tell anyone else what to do but as for me I am looking for tickets to the moon.
