I'm not much of a gardener these days, but I had to transplant some cacti that I had in a pot for some time.

I had originally planted the cluster outside but a moron was in our yard and trampled them. I potted them hoping they would survive. They did so it came time to put them back outside.
Obviously they are a type of prickly pear cactus. I made the mistake of rescuing them without glove. Never do that again.
When we originally purchased them, we bought a couple others. one nearly didn't survive but another did and is thriving in our yard

It had beautiful pink flowers that only lasted a week and I didn't had time to get pics. Maybe next year.
About a year ago I posted about a cactus I rescued. It is also doing very well.
I found the original picture of it laying among the rocks

It was drying out and again I didn't think it would survive.

But several months later, it was doing very well, and I posted this picture.

It has now grown over 3" tall

In regard to the one that almost didn't survive; We potted it and let it grow on our indoor patio. Two years later it's getting out of control.
