Quixotes on the road to conquer the sun | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]
Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!
Yesterday, I shared a photo series focusing on details of a sculpture in which Rocinante came to life. Today, I wrap up the series with photos featuring Don Quixote—that ingenious nobleman who endures through time.
Through this iron sculpture—which evokes various aesthetic styles in its conception, welding small metal sheets into two figures of near-lifelike size—the imagination flows without limits.
With its silvery hue, it enhances the outcome of every photograph and allows for experimentation with different angles, drawing us into the tales of grandeur that Cervantes bequeathed to us through the ages.
I never met the creator of this sculpture, but he undoubtedly displays a talent that moves the soul. The least I could do was pause along the way to take in every meticulously rendered detail and photograph its contrasts—in black and white, as has always been my preference.
Conceptual symbolism is also present in Don Quixote's face, in the form of what appear to be wounds from battles fought...
Happy about the moment we’ve shared, I bid you farewell—sending a warm, radiant embrace to each of you—until the next black-and-white frame, but not without reminding you: keep smiling!
This is my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and
