A ti, Héctor Darío.

Desde que lo supe
llevo tres días esperando
alguien me diga
que no te fuiste,
que todo es un juego
como siempre has hecho,
jugando,
jugando con tus historias,
aquellas que para otros
no eran ciertas tal vez
pero que para ti sí.
No quiero recordarte
con tus amenazas de muerte absurdas...
Todavía me río
recordando cuando Carlos bromeó
sobre tu cuento de la pesca
y el tamaño del pez que dijiste habías capturado.
Yo,
un simple espectador
en aquel malecón del Parque,
riendo a carcajadas
como sabes que siempre hago...
Todos se burlaban,
menos yo.
Solo me reía de la situación
sin dobles intenciones.
Vuelvo a reírme,
te enojaste conmigo,
te enojaste tanto
que aún recuerdo
aquel momento en la Marquesina
cuando entraste de pronto
y me dijiste me levantara
para entrarnos a piñazos,
y volví a reír.
Te dije:
No Héctor,
dame todos los golpes que quieras
pero jamás te levantaría la mano.
Y te fuiste,
o no recuerdo si alguien
siendo adolescentes,
no sé bien si en la secundaria
o en el preuniversitario...
Éramos adolescentes
y a partir de ahí fuimos inseparables,
a partir de ahí escribimos tantas historias,
historias en el parque,
en cada banco del parque
con el pelo largo,
el pelo corto,
todos nosotros bebiendo
y tú sin beber,
sano,
haciendo cuentos,
riendo,
todos nosotros fumando
y tú sin fumar,
sano,
riendo,
haciendo cuentos.
Tantas historias en el Escambray de guerrilla,
durmiendo a la intemperie,
descubriendo ríos
que ya estaban descubiertos,
pero tú los descubrías
y nos contabas historias
y nosotros nos hacíamos
los que te creíamos
y te aplaudíamos,
nos reíamos,
disfrutábamos
de los indios que conociste,
tus grandes hazañas,
tus grandes libros ahora escritos
y dispersos por el mundo...
Continuaba el tiempo
y entonces te recuerdo en cada abrazo,
en cada slam de cada concierto de rock.
Eskoria sabía de ti,
Olimpo sabía de ti,
Olimpo Héctor,
Olimpo.
Siempre dijiste que no ibas a morir,
que a ti te mataban,
y coño,
mira que te equivocaste en tantas cosas
y en esto,
en esto que tenías que haberte equivocado
no lo hiciste.
Se aprovecharon
para arrebatarte de nuestras manos,
arrebataron la oportunidad de volverte a ver,
no sé si en la selva del Perú
o en el Caburní.
No fue Aquiles quien tronchó tus sueños
pero igual me molesta.
Han pasado tres años
y quiero tercamente creer
que nada de esto es cierto
y que en cualquier momento
vueles a aparecer,
me da igual
sea con un machete haitiano...
Te estaré esperando
con los brazos abiertos ...
Te estaré esperando,
¡porque te quiero coño!

Hello beings of light in #holos-lotus!

I've been racking my brain for days about how to post something in this community that's been giving me a knot in my chest ever since I read the article by claudiocruz@claudiocruz.

Then, abelarte@abelarte joined with her experience and elviguitarra@elviguitarra with some tips on how to cope with the grieving process. I won't go into that to let others do it.

After this, I can only share with you this poem that I wrote after the loss of someone I considered my friend (one of those friends who are born and endure in adolescence) for many years, despite everything that happened over time and I prefer not to mention so as to keep only the positive... The rest is pure history.

To you, Héctor Darío.

Since I found out,
I've been waiting for three days
for someone to tell me
that you didn't leave,
that it's all a game
as you've always done,
playing,
playing with your stories,
those that for others
maybe weren't true
but that were for you.
I don't want to remember you
with your absurd death threats...
I still laugh
remembering when Carlos joked
about your fishing story
and the size of the fish you said you'd caught.
I,
a simple spectator
on that boardwalk in the Park,
laughing out loud
as you know I always do...
Everyone was making fun of it,
except me.
I was just laughing at the situation
with no ulterior motives.
I laugh again,
you got mad at me,
you got so mad
that I still remember
that moment at the Marquee
when you suddenly came in
and told me to get up
so we could start punching each other,
and I laughed again.
I told you:
No, Hector,
hit me all the time you want,
but I'd never raise a hand to you.
And you left,
or I don't remember if someone
took you away,
I prefer to think you left.
Then time passed,
you emigrated to visit other places,
and that sad moment of Covid arrived,
when so many Cubans
were separated out of absurd hatred,
and you even threatened to kill me...
I still don't know why.
I prefer not to remember you like that,
nor do I prefer to remember
the threats of fights with Raúl
like someone choosing weapons and saying:
let's go fencing in Haiti.
Forgive my ignorance,
I didn't even know that existed,
but it hurt me,
it hurt me because
I don't want to remember you like that.
Raúl didn't deserve that either.
I also remember other,
much sadder stories,
but anyway,
I prefer to remember you,
like in this photo,
breaking molds and preconceived angles,
with freedom in the background,
or sitting on a rock in the sea,
or creating the literary workshop
El Caracol Cenicero.
Yes,
with that snail on the ground
where we all smoked,
except you,
but we all thought we were poets.
So,
I prefer to remember you even further back in time
like that time
in the previous literary workshop,
as teenagers,
I'm not sure if in high school
or in college...
We were teenagers
and from then on we were inseparable,
from then on we wrote so many stories,
stories in the park,
on every park bench
with long hair,
short hair,
all of us drinking
and you not drinking,
healthy,
writing stories,
laughing,
all of us smoking
and you not smoking,
healthy,
laughing,
writing stories.
So many stories in the Escambray guerrilla,
sleeping in the open air,
discovering rivers
that had already been discovered,
but you discovered them
and told us stories
and we pretended
to believe you
and applauded you,
laughed,
enjoyed
the Indians you met,
your great exploits,
your great books now written
and scattered throughout the world...
Time went on
and then I remember you in every hug,
in every slam at every rock concert.
Escoria knew about you,
Olimpo knew about you,
Olimpo Hector,
Olimpo.
You always said you weren't going to die,
that they would kill you,
and damn,
look how wrong you were about so many things
and in this,
in this thing that you should have been wrong
you weren't.
They took advantage
to snatch you from our hands,
snatched away the chance to see you again,
I don't know if in the Peruvian jungle
or in Caburní.
It wasn't Achilles who cut short your dreams,
but it still bothers me.
Three years have passed,
and I stubbornly want to believe
that none of this is true
and that at any moment
you'll reappear,
I don't care
whether it's with a Haitian machete...
I'll be waiting for you
with open arms...
I'll be waiting for you,
because I love you, damn it!

Thank you very much for your visit!
